His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, departed Berlin for Hamburg, the Federal Republic of Germany. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Present at Berlin Brandenburg Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were officers from the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Upon arrival at Hamburg Airport, His Majesty was greeted by Jörg Paisen, Director at Lufthansa Technik AG, Brigadier Retired General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, the Director of His Majesty the Sultan's Flight; and other senior management representatives of Lufthansa Technik AG.
